you should go with a search first and probably last. i mean this has been discussed very heavily in the last month or two, and you have 20 posts. there is a wealth of information on this board if searched for.

my real question which everyone seems to miss is what kind of numbers would i put out with the red turbo with all my mods... no1 has answered that and it has just become a debate like every other thread about this... im not asking which is a better turbo, im looking to choose one of the 2... i jus want to know what i could make on a stock block with the red, or if i have to build to a 2.3 for it? and what numbers could be achieved...

I already posted that in the other thread you made about the same thing. It's all in here. You just have to SEARCH!!! And how are you on a tight budget if you're planning on a stroker and a turbo upgrade?

Import: yeh i was referring to the megan racing manifold... i have the fuel rail and injectors because i was going to go with a 35r turbo but other family issues have come up and i dont have that money right now for the kit, and the red seems to be producing similar hp for a lot cheaper price.

btw i have to delete that thread i posted in the wrong section...

ok white i will help. a red doesn't require a larger block by any means, and neither does any turbo. would it spool faster? sure is there a need? no

i have an fp3065, aem, and everything else needed to support it on a 2.0l and it does just fine. having said that i would really entertain trading someone for their red, i probably wouldn't do it as i would just go with the HTA35 2.0l BUSCHUR MADNESS setup

there was a video in another thread of evodan's car against a fp red car. both were dynoed at buschur, evodan made somewhere around 425whp (maybe 450whp, not exactly sure) on pump gas running a full race twinscroll 35r, the evo with the red was running e85 and dynoed somewhere around 450whp. evodan's car was jumping on it everytime and he was at 26psi, the car with the red was at 30psi. so i dont think its fair to jump to the conclusion that the red is the best turbo out there, just depends on what you intend to use it for and what type of fuel you will be using, imagine if evodan's car was running e85 and 30psi......it would have been a BIGG a$$ woopin! lol

here is evodan's video:

So, I am wondering how the 35R reference relates to the 30R vs. FP Red discussion?

it relates because some 30r's make about the same power as a 35r at boost levels 30psi and less. for example, the 3065r makes about the same power as a standard 35r up to 30psi, then the 35r walks away from it. this has been stated in the past by forced performance. people say the 3065r spools like a 35r, but ive personally seen a 300rpm difference in spool compared to a hta35r (which obviously spools 300 or so rpms faster than a standard 35r, making the 3065r spool about 600 or more rpm's faster) on the same set up, only thing changed was the turbo.
