Grinding noise? maybe pulley?

Saturday night I went for a 10 minute cruise and everything was fine, pulled into my buddies lot, and their was an unfamiliar sound coming from the passenger side of the engine. It either sounds like a pulley or a bearing. almost sounds like metal on metal noise, kinda chugging with the engine. any ideas?? here are some pics of the area. Don't know if they will be any help.

See my threads. Someone posted a link to an original thread that seems to be your problem. It has a video clip. I notice you have an IX, and it seems its common. Basically the timing belt is moving and rubbing the crank sensor blade? Check out the thread.

My IX also does this in cooler weather. I ignore it almost half the IX's I've heard do this.
