greddy type s help

i just took off my stock plastic bov and put the greddy type s i had off my civic on. i have it recirculated. i was just had a little question on adjusting it. would i tighten it up until i have a little compressor surge and the soften it up a little? or what would the best way to adjust it be. i have the stock air box back on too so i dont know if it would be hard to hear the compressor surge or not. any help would be appreciated. i searched on here a little bit but didnt really find anything relevant. if you have a link or something to the page that would be sweet. thanks in advance

you need to do a boost leak test, that will tell you how hard or soft to adjust it. FWIW I had the softest spring in mine with the adjustment screw ALL the way out and it was all I needed to hold 20ish PSI. you will probably need to put thread sealer on the adjustment screw as they leak often, at least mine did.

Got rid of that thing quickly after I put it on cause couldn't stand the constant chirping and whistle noises from different throttle positions.

look for a stock EVO 9 BOV, they are metal instead of plastic and hold boost well especially for a stock turbo.
