Some E85 tunes

Ever since E85 finally came to the California Bay Area I've been busy adding people to the "E85 Army".

E85 is cheaper than 91 octane here and as everyone knows, 91 is crap gas, so far everyone that I have tuned on E85 has stuck with E85 even though I have installed map switching capabilities on the stock ECU.

With these examples, you can probably see why.

2005 Evo RS

Turboback exhaust
MilSpec 100cell cat
Nisei Upper IC Pipe
AMS lower IC pipe
RC 1000cc
Walboro fuel pump
GST Boost assembly using ECU boost control
stock cams
stock turbo
no porting

+70whp/+59wtq over 91 octane

25.5 psi peak

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2005 Evo GSR

Turboback exhaust
Test pipe
RC 1000cc injectors
Walboro fuel pump
GM 3 port

That's it!

+71whp/+59wtq over 91 octane

2006 Evo GSR SE

Turboback exhaust
No cat
GST open cone filter
RC 1000cc injectors
Walboro fuel pump
GM 3-port ECU controlled boost
LICP
FP WGA <- was going bad so spool suffered on E85 tune

+73whp/+62wtq over 91 octane

+43whp/+28wtq over 100 octane

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2006 Evo RS

FPgreen with Stock IX actuator
Cosworth M2 cams
ETS 3.5 FMIC
Nisei licp
Walbro fp
RC 1000cc injectors
3 " Turboback exhaust
No cat
Titek o2
Vibrant Open Filter
GM 3port solenoid boost control(via stock ECU)

+60whp/+55wtq over 91 octane

------------------------------------------------------------------------

2006 Evo RS

Samco upper IC pipe couplers
GM 3port solenoid using PSI-target boost (via stock ECU)

+51whp/+37wtq over 100 octane

------------------------------------------------------------------

2005 Evo MR

FPgreen
Turboback exhaust
No cat
RC 1000cc injectors

Sign me up! It will be a strict diet of the corn fuel for my Evo when I arrive back in
Cali later this month! The V2 should really shine then.

I am waiting for more E-85 to come to Seattle and I would run it. I DD my car, so I need there to be a lot of the stations, and there are hardly none within 40 miles from me.

Here is a PT62 that ran out of fuel on E85 (1200cc and single walboro) so I had to bring the boost down up top. With 4 psi less boost than I had tuned it on 110 octane, you can clearly see it was set to make some killer power on E85 if it had enough fuel:

2006 Evo 9

ETS PT6262 turbo kit (equal length exhaust manifold)
ETS 3” FMIC
ETS Upper and lower IC pipes
ETS intake (customized by brandon)
Dejon BOV leak stop kit (stock Evo 9 bov)
RC 1200cc injectors
Walboro Fuel Pump
Forced Performance 4R cams (271/271)
Springs and retainers
ARP head studs
MilSpec ThrottleBody
3” TBE no cat
GM 3 port boost solenoid (ECU boost control)
Stock block/head
Stock ECU

I made 484WHP on 32 lbs of boost on E85 . I love this stuff! When the temp drops my computer controls my boost and it pushes 36lbs of boost. Easily over 500 WHP! But this on AMS 3076R
