P401 - Weird Code

Anyone know what this code is:

P401 - Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected

Just yesterday I installed a 1G Forge DV on my upper buschur intercooler piping and the car surges and flutters like crazy under partial throttle.

Any help would be great

Thanks in advance

Check for loose vacuum lines on the back of your intake manifold. That is the typical cause.

Reach behind the intake manifold and you'll feel the vaccum line that popped off. Zip tie all of those lines.

No. There is a vacuum line loose somewhere. It could be on the EGR valve which is connected to the drivers side of the intake manifold. There are two vacuum lines connected to it.

Or you really have an insufficient flow issue-basically a build up of carbon in your egr port. Happens on Acuras a lot

well i finally dug underneath the intake manifold and there were two small hoses that connect directly to the egr valve(maybe i am missing a few), but these two had a plastic clamp that kept these two hose together. one was off, and it was the one closest to the firewall. I can not believe they do not use zip ties or anything.

I just had the same code today.... And I reached back behind the intake and sure enough the vacuum line popped off.
