evo VIII intake fit on IX??

if i were to buy an intake that is made for the evo VIII, will it fit on the IX directly??

Assuming it doesn't interfere with the ACD tank. Do you have a pic, link, or what kind it is?

Looks like thats nothing more than an air filter and MAS adapter kit. Honestly, save your money and order something like this instead:

The AP kit is nice, but very over-priced. I actually do prefer the tapered design of the Vibrant adapter; it should help funnel air into the MAS in a smoother fashion. If you're set on running a K&N filter I say get the Vibrant adapter for ~$20 and purchase the K&N separately for ~$35-45. Other air filters worth checking out are AFE (oiled cotton gauze similar to K&N but better quality), Perrin (oiled foam), and Amsoil (dry).
