we were working on my buddys car today because the cap from the water pump below the intake manifold blew off some how so got a replacement cap filled it back up with coolant when we try and start the car it sounded like the battery was low or didnt have a good charge but it would turn over ... voltage reads fine idols fine battery was tested and it was good so was the alt.... now when you try and start the car it sonds fine trying to start but it wont fire up any ideas thanks

 

I had this problem on a DSM I was working on (valve seals). I left the hatch open and ran the battery down some. When finished it would crank okay but not start. I put a charger on the battery and after that all was good.
