Its about 10mm down the throat of the runner actually and about 48-50mm off the top of the runner.

What is the exact issue that is suspected will result from the injector placement like this? That is the same rough measurements as the injector boss in a Yamaha 700R and they work well enough out to 127whp and 750cc injectors.

yea,but the Yamaha is not boosted.boost will force the fuel to keep in the deep injector boss and will go out in droplets.

That is completely untrue. If you've seen many other boosted factory cars have this same type of arrangement. The flow testing that we've done with this shows that it actually act like a a venturi, and pulls fuel out of the boss. At that point in injector staging anyway it doesn't matter (read : velocity), because you are always running more fuel pressure than boost pressure, Boost pressure has nothing to do with it, differential pressure does. Anything below the plenum is a low pressure zone.
