Gas like oil in catch can

Is it normal for the PCV side oil catch can to drain out watery thinned out oil smelling like gasoline? or is it suppose to be thick viscous like used motor oil?

Piston rings never seal perfectly. On the compression stroke gasoline will leak to the crankcase. During warm weather engine heat drives off the gasoline. During cold weather, if you never get the engine hot (short trips), gasoline accumulates in the oil. In either case gasoline vents to the catch can but can condense there in the winter when underhood temperatures are low.
