Talking What stroker kit is the best?

What stroker kit is the best for a daily driven, weekend track car? I am looking for reliability to where I can run the car as hard as I want whenever.

Best what? Bang for the buck?

If you thinking that the most expensive one is always the best, then go with JUN.

Your probably not getting very good answers or just one word answers because your question is way to vauge . What turbo do you plan on running? How much over-all power? Any drag or track or cone dodging going on? Lots to this question.... there is a good shop in Colorado also.

yeah you need to broaden our horizons... price, power goals, overall goal for the car, competion, reliability, all kinds of different reasons for different kits.

Buschur and AMS have both proven to make very reliable and powerful engines. Pick your favorite builder, discuss your goals with them, and go from there.

The best stroker kit would be one that you could spec each part to your specifications. But, you can't really do that (yet).

It all depends on the cost you're comfortable with. Buschur and AMS seem to both offer good kits utilizing OEM cranks.

Unfortunately your question is loaded and there are no set goals in it.

Do you want a certain level of spool increase on a given turbo? Maintain a certain redline? How important is rod/stroke ratio? Etc.

Any price, I'm going into the NAVY. 600 to 700 hp. I plan on a turbo sized just under the GT42. 3" to 3.5" exhaust. COP ignition. Upgraded top end. New oil pump and oil system. Upgraded fuel system. Port and polished head. I will remove the A/C system for sure.

I wouldn't suggest such a big turbo... you can get almost 700awhp with a hta86... a stroker wont be much good for a huge turbo such as a GT42R or GT40R either and even then it would be a lag monster on the street of course, you would need to probably go with a 2.0l to rev it and make a turbo that size happy.

Call Lucas at CARZ performance in Lakewood, Colorado 720-214-5095 www.carzperformance.com he has the fastest Evo's in Colorado to date, He also tunes AEM very very well... He has built several cars/motors there, some are 10 sec cars last season and will be very capable of 9's this year and are all daily drivers, he will stand behind his work. Any questions PM me, Him ( DynoDude55), or Mark (EpicEVO).

I want a very high torque engine. Would a GT35 work well with a stroker kit? I read that if you lower the rotational inertia of the turbine it would reduce turbo lag. I still want at least 600 hp. Have you heard anything about the Tomei stroker kit?
