o2 Housing Affect Exhaust Tone?
just out of curiosity. Does an aftermarket o2 housing affect the tone of an aftermarket exhaust? On my last evo I had a greddy ti-c, ur test pipe, megan dp, and invidia o2 housing and the exhaust tone sounded deep and clean. Right now on my current evo I have a greddy ti-c (bought it used), ur test pipe, unknown aftermarket dp (came with the car but I'll be putting my megan dp on tomorrow), and the stock o2 housing. The exhaust tone is noticeably different. It's not as deep and doesn't sound as clean. I thought it might've been an exhaust leak but I just put in new gaskets and hardware. I have a video of how my last evo sounded and I can record how my current evo sounds in case you guys wanna hear the difference.

well u did state that your old exhaust was the greddy ti which is full titanium and the piping is sightly bigger but that exhaust is one of the loudest exhaust you can put on the evo. i used to have one but sold it because it was too loud for my taste but im sure the greddy ti-c is not as loud and is not as deep.
Yahh i have the EPM dump and at idle its deeper. I have TBE and the car was never as loud as it is now at idle at WOT its def louder because of the dump tube but the wastegate dosent open until 11psi on stock acuator so if someone is to say because of the dump tube its not the gases do not separate until 11psi. I guess just the flow is smoother threw the aftermarket 02.
