you are looking for a sequential trans but complain about spending 12k or more? Its going to cost some serious cash for a decent sequential trans....

never did i once complain about the price of that transmission
but to spend 12k on a "universal" transmission that is rated for 450bhp is just retarded to me

i have seen evo specific ones for less then that can support 1000+ hp if needed

Maybe Marcus@Magnus Motorsport could help:
He builds the Drag Evo8 of JR motorsports (custom Full Sequential Transmission, paddle shifted or gear shifted )

This is a very good statement! PPG makes a very good gearset. There are i believe 2 other options in Australia that i have saved on my laptop. When i get back home i will post the links.

There are better options also then the Ikeya shifter FYI again i will post links when i get home.

But in the meantime you are going to end up spending ALLOT of money. I have looked into this for awhile. After everything is said and done depending on route and parts you pick you will be at $8K to $15K for a good setup.

Any attachment (shifter box) used with the stock gear box is going to be a compromise. Even if the shift action is linear the system is not going to net any real performance enhancement.

A good sequential shifter is a system: a short throw lever, with a gear box specifically designed for sequential shifting and the ECU of the car linked in. A good system has the lever simply trigger switches and the rest is done with solenoids and actuators at the gear box, and the ECU is linked in for throttle blips etc.

The WC EVO used a standard stock H pattern gear box, they are looking into something else for next year - they won't be sharing any of that info.

One of the links i posted has a true sequential shifter option. Bolts to the side of the transmission and uses solenoids. Just FYI guess they dont have too look to far...lol..

EDIT: LOL maybe i forgot that link. I will look for that one also i know i seen it somewhere.

my bad man, the one i saw was just a dog gear box, not sequential. i apologize for the previous statement

anyway, the gearbox isnt for me. my buddy asked me to see if i can find one. i dont think he realizes how much they are. i didnt even know they were this expensive. i guess if he wanted that shfit pattern he would be better off just getting the shifter mechanism
