thought about it and i think the dual valve springs are overkill for my goals. going with the supertech single springs/retainers.

I went with the GSC 5039 springs, which use the stock retainers and seats. Car holds power much better with these cams, and the springs let me rev past 8000 with ease.

I chose these springs because they came highly recommended and were only about $200.

Supertech single springs and retainers run about $275. I was also looking at the GSC's and it's another option.

Will continue to do research.

Awesome. There's is nothing like having a piece of mind in lieu of trying to save a few pennies.

Just an FYI, if you do the dual springs and retainers also get some smaller diameter valve stem seals.

i opted for the single valve springs... i think the duals are overkill for my goals. the supertech singles are ready to be dropped in right.

Please explain the point of taking your head off to do cams ????? I have been doing cams for years and have never had a problem with NOT taking the head off .

Now if you are talking about springs and retainers, I can understand. But even that can be done on the car.

The single springs should be fine.

It's the inner spring in the dual spring setup that is the issue.
