ETS Intercooler question

I was wondering if the extra 100 dollars to get the 3.5 inch width ets intercooler instead of the 3 inch width is worth it? I plan on getting fuel pump, ported manifold, o2, tbe, licp, mbc, kn filter, arp headstuds, and tune. Thanks

Anyone will tell you that the 3" is plenty for those mods. I have the 3.5" and I love it. I probably wont ever have to upgrade to at least 6-700whp. I like the "do it once, do it right" way of doing things. My buddy has the 3" with a BB58 trim ets kit, and I have a journal bearing SC61, his spools a little faster. I'd go with the 3.5, it's more baller.

I had a 3in universal cooler on the car previous and the ETS 3.5 out shined it hands down this was still when I was on the 20g.

I now have a ETS SV PT61mm BB (35r basically) and pull after pull on the street DLL shown no real drop in power and I'm knock free through the powerband.

This isn't to say that ETS's 3in would have out performed my no name 3in core cause I have no doubt that it would have. I'd get the 3.5 if I were you the damn thing works great period

My Looney Tooner Mr. 4WS and ETS's kick ***, and great fitting parts. I thank you both

The ETS 3" will be fine for you if you plan on staying with the stock turbo with a few other bolt-on mods. The 3.5" would be ideal if you plan to max out your stock turbo or upgrade to a slightly larger stock-frame turbo.

The 3" is fine for a sub 500hp car. Dont need to spend the extra money for something you dont need!

Go with the ETS 3.5 in....you never know, you might want to turn your car into an insane street car with 600whp. Plan ahead always. HP is a hell of a drug .
