Need some turbo opinions please.

Very torn here. I been looking at a garrett TD06SL2R 20G with a 10.5 hotside and a TD05HR 16g with a 10.5 hotside. Theres quite a difference in the prices, plus with the TD06 I will need a few extra modifcations, but except for that they are direct bolt on to my Evo8. I guess the price is binding me up and I need some opinions. Is the TD06 worth the extra bucks, or is it over rated and the TD05HR will be enough. I have heard there is very little difference for the price as long as you get one with a 10.5 hotside. I figured the TD06 would go good with the skunk 2 cams I have in the car, plus I am installing a magnus intake soon. I know for a fact the 20g is as big as I want to go. I been on the highway now and buried the needle and that was enough for me at that speed. I just want the topend pull away power from another vehicle. This is my daily drive and I think a 25g or anything bigger is overkill. Plus I do not want to goto an external wastegate setup at this time.

why not just do a FP Green and pay the extra...the green is a great turbo. ppl make great power on it depending on the tune......and if its to pricy you could always pick up a used evo IX turbo with like 5-10k miles on it and save evebn more......thats just my .02 cents

goodluck

You could find a stock evo 8 or 9 turbo for around 350-500, and make the same power. I don't believe there to be anything inbetween stock and green/red that's worth it.

Or CBRD BBK lite or full...I'm thinking about it.
