Help me ID this turbo

So i was putting an evo9 turbo on my friends Evo... when we get halfway through it i realized he is not rockin the stock 03 evo 8 turbo. i have seen evo greens evoreds but i havent seen a turbo quite like this one. i will post pics later. First of all it has an evo 8 compressor housing. someone wrote 20g with a sharpie on the inducer fins of the compressor wheel. The begining part of the turbos model number starts with the normal TD05HR but the part that normally says 16G has been machined down and restamped with 20g. this turbo also has a 10.5 hotside. at the end of the compressor housing where the black outlet pipe connects there is a small green sticker. Is this some kind of older 20g or something or a knock off

From what you're describing they make a Evo 8 turbo w/10.5 hotside with a 20G compressor wheel. http://www.turbo-kits.com/evo_8-9_turbo_kits.html for $799

it says TME on it as well. I wonder if it will make any more power than a stock evo9 16g

lol i understand the wheel is bigger but that dosent mean it will make more power... i think this is the 20g that is very surge prone due to its high cfm at low rpms. i just need someone to verify that

The tme's are great turbos! They spool really fast and make good power!! A friend has one that makes 30 psi at 3400 and makes around 380 on buschurs dyno! It has went 11.5 at 118 in the 1/4.
