if you disconnected your battery while installing the i/c piping and intake your ecu is relearning everything and will take about 20 minutes to idle normal again

Agreed however it go's by drive cycles so depending on how much you drive it may take a couple days. Also anytime you redo piping a boost leak test is a must

hehe the same thing happened to me when I installed my intake (regular ES mind you). Every red light i stopped at the car would Idle funny and stall everytime lol. Felt like such a tool.

Like evane said, reconnect the battery and let it idle for about 10-20 mins without touching the throttle.

i have done ALOT of work on the injen kit to get it to run properly and on a straight ended intercooler. you have a open pipe somewhere . clamp not tight enought or a hose thats not fully put on right. basically boost leak test if you can. The hoses that came with the kit are complete junk except for the 90 degree one. check my website for more information

Boost leak. Did you plug the MAF back in properly?

Installed the Injen kit myself not too long ago. Replaced all my clamps with T-Bolt Clamps, the ones that came with it were crap. The couplers aren't all that bad really, seemed to do the job for me. Did a boost leak test on my car and there's no leaks except in my throttle body, which is one of the more common leaks. Getting that fixed here soon anyhow.

but i do have the same issue as you, seems like my rpms drop to 500 or so when ever I take it up to 5K rpms or more and just let off. If anyone else is experiencing this same thing and have found a fix let me know. I've already played around with timing and changing my AF ratios still no resolution.

Thanks

- Steve

The MAF needs to be rescaled whenever you change intakes.

You'll probably hear the same thing over and over again, the car needs a tune for the extra air coming in. It'll keep doing this until then, an ecu flash will fix this without a problem.

Yeah it's part of the flash, they do some adjusting to the ecu and make everything work together.

You need a reflash to rescale the MAF and to adjust the fuel and timing maps for your intake. Most open intakes cause the stock tuning to run lean through the mid-range.
