Good luck getting replies. I don't think anybody appreciates your User Name. Even if it is innocent and only reflects the color of your car, you may want to change it.

Im sorry if my screen name offends u. Ill have u know my friends that are black think its funny as hell. Im not trying to be a biggot or racist as i feel anyone who truly believes their race is superior to another is an ignorant moron.

But back to the topic. If i was to go with methanol how much power would igain or how many tenths in the quarter do u think i could knock off and can i safelyrunmeth on a stock engine with 60k miles?? Im worried this may cause issues for my car but again i dont know much about it. Lol

For your cams does Bc stand for Brian Crower or Buddy Club? If they're Brian Crower's I'd go for a better set of cams. Also water/meth injection will allow you to run higher boost pressure as well as way more advanced timing numbers. I don't see why you couldn't score at least close to an additional 50whp with water/meth on a stock 16g.

Also, why not go ahead and ditch the SAFC, they're nothing but garbage on stock ecu setups and completely skew the timing maps when you adjust for fuel. If you don't already have a tune then I'd suggest a full tune first, it would be your biggest power gain and your safest bet.

Meth or E85 if its available in your area. You'll need bigger injectors for E85 though as well as a tune, but well worth it.

Yah i know the safc isnt very appreciated on these forums but my friend that does the tuning for me has tuned evos all the way from mild mods to built 10sec gt35r evos. Im fairly impressed with it so far especially since it was free.

How much would a meth/water injection kit run Me? Id like to see mid to low 11s out of my car by end of summer. So if i can get that with a professional tune and meth on 93oct ill be more than happy. I have given some thought to e85 however one of mynfriends that converted to e85 still hasnt got his car fully lined out in over a month and it looked to me like more of a hassle than its worth lol

I would sell the SAFC. Tuning the stock ECU is just as good if not better. Say one of the connections of the SAFC comes loose due to improper installation. Its just one more mod you can do without. Back to your question on running meth with the miles you have, I think it is safe as long as you get some head studs. With mileage, more power than factory, and normal wear and tear your head could possible lift or blow a head gasket. On top of that if you go with head studs you could replace your cams like Slo_crx1 said while your in there. Valve springs and retainer or a full blown head job can be done at this time too. You will have a monster stock block with all these mods. May I suggest AMS/ARP L19 studs for the win.

Thanks i may try that. And yes i have brian crower cams. I agree they arent the best but when i bought them i was more getting them because i wanted the loping sound from cams rather than performance but since i am now in a mod war with my friend that has an 04 cobra, my friends sti that he thinks his god on wheels with a cobb access port and my other friend that has a silver evo 8. I feel like doing whatever i can to make sure i stay ahead of them lol

Awesome and good luck. Due to lack of posts I can't post my evo up for sale. You can just buy mine and your friends will have zero chance of ever catching you. 500+ on pump gas. 700+ on C16.

i'd go with meth, because you can really vary the horsepower with the percentage you use. I'd check the meth/alky forum for good advice on kits. Also head work is necessary. The EVO 8 head is very restrictive, I'm battling that now. I am considering the valve springs and retainers, I also have 272 Brian Crowers and it really takes my valve springs to their limits. Go eat that STI..

a 2.3 is also a very viable option if you have the money, nice car though
