alright so clutch line weirdness

so i installed a new steel braided clutch line because the stock rubber hose i believe froze over a couple of times and the rubber got retarded or something and the clutch pedal kept catching farther and farther off the floor as the fluid heated. well i changed the clutch line recently and its doing the same thing....but not as noticeable. maybe a 1-2 inch difference in where the clutch catches. is this common? what would you recommend on doing to make the engagement in the same place all the time? and btw the restrictor pill in the clutch master cylinder was already out when i looked in it.... i guess the previous owner took it out. please help

probably try bleeding the clutch line again and adjusting the pedal. should be straight forward but if you need a hand, let me know.
