I don't think its the IC pipes like many are saying. The car doesn't turn over at all? Double check the fuses like someone previously mentioned. I had the same problem, took off from the light, just about to shift to 2nd and suddenly went dead. This was in heavy traffic too so I wasn't heavy throttle.

ok so updated... the connections for the fuel pump were a lil loose.. tightened them up... im thinking a relay problem now cause we ran a lead from power on battery and ground to the pump and it primes...now which relays need to be changed???

It wouldn't...it would just throw a code and cause the engine to run a bit strange since the o2 trim feedback is going to be skewed.

Which one is the problem...there's at least 3 relays that control the fuel pump, each being driven by a varied voltage off the ecu. Voltage to the pump is varied in this way to allow for a lower or higher flow from the pump depending on rpm/boost/etc. Depending on the ecu depends on the relay used and the voltage output to the pump.

Good luck with that, you're going to need it. I might suggest at this point just take it to the stealership if it's under warranty, just swap back all your parts to stock first and hope they don't d!ck ya over.

You mentioned fuel pump and relay in your first post, obviously you had some prior idea that something was screwed with around that general area, and those 2 items aren't known to go bad on these cars. These aren't like your typical Honda main relay that craps out whenever they feel like it, and the fuel pumps are pretty decent for the stock setups from the factory, not to mention that the walbro 255lph pump is a direct swap, right down to the plug plugging into the pump with no mods. Obviously something was screwed with prior to your post for that plug to even come loose. Things just don't add up here buddy...

the only reason why i feel its something concerning the fuel pump is because it doesnt prime when i cycle the on.. a nd i ran a wire from the battery for power to the pump and also ran a ground, and the pump worked... so i was thinking that its either a fuse(checked all of them), relay(????) or the wiring between whereever and the fuel pump.... i feel like im at a dead end, and i would love to figure this out with out having to pay 100 an hour for labor at the stealership....

so the car is now fixed.. brought it to the dealership, the mechanic said that the cars spark plugs were fouled cause of the tune being too rich, afr in full boost is around 11.2-11.6, dont understand it but changed the plugs and now it runs... dude told me around a 12.0-12.7 is ok for an evo, didnt rele think so , brought it down to the shop who tuned my car, they said it would blow up if the afr was that high.... soo that was the problem...

The plugs were probably fouled because the IC pipe blew off and the car was in limp mode.

They probably didn't want to tell you that.
