At full boost, car stutters, then takes off...

Its been pretty cold here recently and I have not been driving the evo much (2-3 times a week), but when I do drive, it has been acting strange. I try not to go WOT when it is below 50 degrees, but it happens. Usually, I will just hit fuel cut and backfire. I take the hint, and keep my foot out of it. The last two days however, it has done something different. It will pull normally until about 4500, then it will stutter for half a second, and then accelerate like normal. The stutter is almost the same sound as motorboatin' a nice big set of titay's. No CELs, no smoke, just stutter and then business as usual. Any ideas? The car was tuned in 80 degree weather, so I'm hoping its just the cold doing it.

seems like your overboosting cause of the density of the colder air but not too sure
