Is the Evo IX Stock Turbo Capable of 9's??? Look Inside..
Cheers Steve
A regular full weighted evo stock turbo'd cannot compete with a car like most @ 2500lbs. If you think your evo is fast at 3300+(w/driver)...imagine losing 800lbs! Feel like a rocket. Not taking away from "Most" ..this car has been built VERY well.
Thanks guys. Weight ? hasn't been avoided. I just haven't weighed it lately. It was in the 2500# range, but things have been added and a few things have been deleted. So I am guessing it was a wash. I still have all stock doors minus the lexan, stock steering wheel with airbag, headliner, door panels, taillights, etc. I could easily remove more weight, but it hasn't shown to be hurting us the way the car is. So I am leaving it alone for now.
So I would like to see the car break the 9's before you guys throw the red on it... you know you wont put the stock turbo on there once you run the red... who screws a fat chick after hooking up with a supermodel
Brian and Mike get a Wilson Manifolds v2.3. You just might find it will give you the edge to get you in the 9's and still be stock appearing. At the performance level that you are running at the v2.3 is the ticket. You are too close to give up on the IX turbo now.
