looking to pick up a set of hks cams. need some input. I have the emanage and the hks evc 5, turboback from UR and other random bits and pieces including NX 75 shot. What profiles should work best, minding that this car is a daily driver? I plan on doing a turbo conversion aswell this winter, maybe when buschur comes out with there's.

 

I've got 272 cams in my daily driver, and with the e-Manage anti engine stall, the idle is perfect. Don't go smaller, you'll regret it. I had the 264 on for awhile and it was noticeably wimpier than the 272.

when you run a 272/272 set-up what alse would you have to match it up with besides the cam gears,im planning to do this for my next mod but i keep on hearing some rough idling stories.

 

If you want good idle with the 272/272, here is what you need to do:

1) Buy the cam gears
2) Advance Intake cam 1 degree
Retard Exhaust cam 2 degrees

Then you will have a good idle.
