What would give me better results on an Evo 8 with the mods in the signature. A set of Cams, I am considering the GSC S1 or an Evo 9 or FP Green Turbo. I was considering doing the turbo and O2 first and later the cams.

Stock Evo9 turbo won't do much for you, the green WILL.

Do a green, then cams.

 

i think you will feel the cams more than the Green. S1 evo 8 cams 25-40whp increase pretty much across the rpm band.

plus they are on sale for $499!

cams. There are 11 sec. evos on stock cams. Then get a green. Buy s2's if you got the money.

If you're upgrading to the 9 turbo, cams would be a better idea. If you're going for the green, I would do that before cams. You'd be able to tune it for a few more psi over stock and have a nice topend when compared to an 8 turbo with cams.

 

9 turbo over an 8 turbo is maybe 15whp. Cams on an 8 turbo:


35+whp, 40+whp midrange. These are HKS 280's. Loved them, just upgraded springs and moved to kelford 272's...another great cam choice.

Unless you're in autoX and wanna stay in a specific class, I think the choice is obvious.

 

^ is that typical of HKS 280's? 35-40whp seems a bit much... what else is done to that car.
