Lol this is going to be a long week. I will be in New Meixco tuning at the end of the week but I am sure we can get it done before that.

I have a .63 A/R T3 on it now, 1.06 Divided T4 waiting to go on, and a 1.06 open T4 that needs to be sent back to ATP

Scorke,

Short answer to your question is: yes, the divided housings do work... The main idea of the divided housing is to aid in boost response at lower engine RPM's by taking advantage of the firing pulses of each cylinder. Basically the divided housing allows those cylinder pulses to expand into a smaller area all the way to the turbine wheel, keeping as much of the exhaust gas velocity as possible. We are not necessarily opposed to open flow housings; but you're right, our offerings are mostly composed of them. When you guys are able to take advantage of this; i.e. divided manifolds... you should see improvement over an equivalent open housing.

Have you guys ever done any back to back testing?

In your opinion from your testing, is there a trade of in top end power with open scroll and twin scroll when pushing high boost levels on similar size turbos?

Of course, if they weren't worth it they probably wouldn't have an aftermarket lineup stocked with twin scroll housings....

The s400 can make silly power up top, if you can make 1200 hp is the restriction real enough to care?

Thanks for the reply kurt, I agree with everything you said just wanted to hear it from somebody that other vendors can't say are selling hype, but rather r&d and up!!!!

Mazda found increased response and more HP at the Top end decades ago.

If you read the links I posted a while ago, you would have not needed to ask the question.

seriously, i wish you people could understand what their facility in asheville was like you would not ask that question. Theyve written books, on the subject and in fact the one kurt gave me was the best turbocharging book ever written IMHO (i have read a lot)

when you walk in you are greeted by 3D simulations of the compound VTG PSD turbo with real 3D models and then cutaways on stands, desks of the smartest turbofreak engineers you can ever come across as far as the eye can see, then the plant is made up of the craziest titanium compressor or titanium turbine wheels, its difficult to explain, but if you saw what they do just to blow a turbo up (kurt PLEASE POST THE VIDEO!!!) it will remove any and all doubt about the level which these guys do their work. it is full-on ***** wonkas turbo factory
