Funny metallic click noise

Hey guys, I think this may be something you all hear, but I have never heard it so I'd like your thoughts.

I'll first say im not concerned with the noise just wondering what it is because I have never heard it before. Car drives fine.

Under load(in all gears) at maybe 2800 and above rpm @ 1/3 or more throttle- as soon as I let off theres a click. And its not letting all the way off(I was thinking TB shut) but only when I back off the throttle. It sounds like its under the dash though maybe not and it sounds just slightly metallic. Quieter but somewhat similar to when the fan turns on(but this is different location) or similar to when you turn on your rear defroster but again quieter and different location

Never happens in neutral or with the clutch depressed.

Ideas? The first time I heard it was today and its pretty cold here.

Its definitely not clutch chatter and nothing is loose, im positive

It sounds like it has something to do with approaching a certain boost level. At first I thought it was just my TB closing

Its like a 'tink', really light, some where central dash maybe.

Years ago, I kept hearing a click and eventually realized that it was my keys moving around.

I would feel like an idiot if that was my case

But it sounds like its behind the factory 3 gauge panel- like deep in the console

And again its only after I get to/over 2800ish RPM under load and then back off the throttle.

One single quiet "tick or tink" sound
