I'm having a little bit of a tough time understanding what you're describing. When you say wastgate are you referring to the blow off valve? It's located midway up the intercooler pipe by the battery and has a hose coming off of it to the intake/MAF/filter pipe on the turbo?

Maybe if you post a picture it would help explain your situation.

The blow off valve is in the correct spot and it looks like everything is set up correctly except that that its blowing off into the atmosphere.

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you refer to a "warrant" but if you want the blow off valve to not blow off into the atmosphere then you need one that can be recirculated back into the intake pipe.

If you look at the intake pipe right above the intercooler pipe you'll see a plug in the intake pipe. That's where you need to recirculate the blow off valve.

ok what are you wanting to do?? the wastegate on your evo one is by the turbo and but it is hard to see if it is venting externally or not.. if the WOF says it is then you need to feed the venting pipe back into the front pipe or further down the exhaust... the best pic is number 7. the wastegate is at the bottom right of the pic ontop of the exhaust manifold looks like a TIAL its chrome and has a blue hose connecting to the intercooler pipe (inlet manifold side, alloy piping)

you will see the venting pipe coming off the wastegate by the radiator. thats the one that needs to be plumbed back into the front pipe of the exhaust. you will need a good welder to do it.

the blow off valve is fine he will not get pinged here for a bov venting externally. but a wastegate venting externally is illegal in New Zealand. and checks are done every 6 months to make it road worthy.

I see that you're wastgate is also in the correct spot on top of the exhaust manifold (in between the engine and radiator). I can't tell for sure but it looks like its also blowing off to the atmosphere and if you have emissions regulations over there this may be what the hold up is about. If so, then you'll probably need the pipe coming off of the wastegate (into atmosphere) to be modified so that it circulates back into the exhaust downpipe. Which would require some cutting and welding.

Hope I've helped some. Good luck.
