Megan Racing vs. BR Magnaflow dB ??
Megan Racing vs. BR Magnaflow dB ??
I have a Megan Racing 3" TBE with hi-flo catalytic converter and don't like the drone. Do you think the Buschur Magnaflow setup will be quieter / have no drone? For anyone that has made a similar switch, I'd appreciate your feedback (I believe Clay aka Warrtalon made the exact switch).
(I realize in advance this may seem stupid to some of you, but I am a tad older than many on this forum
, need to retain any hearing I have left, and have no desire to draw attention to the car...) Thanks in advance

Many ppl praise the magnaflow over the buschur bullet muffler<--LOUD because of how quiet it is. There should be vids on youtube of what your looking for. Call Buschur because their sales team are quite helpfull.
I bought my car with the Megan N1 style turboback with a resanator in it. I then removed that and installed the BR turboback with Magnaflow muffler. It was noticeably quieter....almost to quiet with the stock turbo for my liking. Once I went to the built motor/35R setup, the Magnaflow sounded just right. Now I have the Bullet and its loud!!
I dont know what quiet means for you. But here are your options:
Buschur offers a 2 muffler system, Bullet center and Magnaflow rear setup. They say its a quiet combination for normal driving while still being aggressive during WOT.
Cobb is the most quietest system in which I have personally ran on my car. I've had the RRE stealth, Tanabe Madallion, Jun BL (super quality but loud) and off course the Cobb TBE.
As for my self, quiet = easily confusable with a completely stock Evo. I'm trying to achieve that while keeping a completely straight flow through 3" system with no cat and no tapers. Click on the link in my sig if you want more info. Tomorrow is the big install and welding day.
