Air Bearing Turbos in Testing

Found a great article on upcoming turbo tech.

http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_110993/article.html

Imagine higher effciency turbos with tighter compressor to wall clearances that are faster spooling for their size since there are no oil lines. Imagine a turbo swap without draining coolant or messing with oil.

The thought of no parasitic losses from oil, ball bearings or journal bearings is intriguing.
