The other night i was driving home and got about a block from my house and my acessory belt broke. Not sure why or how, but very odd. I got home looked at my pulleys, all were good none of them didnt have any play in them except for the ac pulley. Which brings me to my next question. How much play if any should this have? It does move side to side and up and down without any hard force. As far as how far it moves i dont have an exact measurement but moves probably about a little less than an 1/8in side to side and up and down. Is this normal play in this pulley? like i said none of the others move at all besides this one. Im guessing the belt just broke or something has gone wrong with this pulley. Thanks for any help.

umm you shouldnt have any play in any of the pulleys.....did you check to see if the bolt backed out?
