using XEDE with muffler delete pipe

using XEDE with muffler delete pipe

If I had the stage Zero map for the XEDE do you think I could get the same gains from a muffler delete pipe as a cat-back. Eventually I want to get an entire turbo back but I just don't have the money for that right now. I don't have a XEDE or anything yet, I'm just trying to figure out how to go about this.

Hi,

I had the exact same plan, because I didn't want to drop the $ for the XEDE and the cat-back all at once. As it turns out, my wife and I have a little one on the way so I can't even get the XEDE right now, heh.

Anyway, I emailed VISHNU and they said that the map for the cat-back would work fine, but of course wouldn't give quite the full-gain of the cat-back.

In other research, just removing the axle-back piece seems to be worth ~10 HP from many sources. Shiv's results agreed with this, and he posted that they picked up an additional ~5-10 (not sure on exact amt) by removing the intermediate pipe back. This may imply that there is ~ that amt more HP avail from the cat-back vs the axle-back.

I think you want the map for the cat-back vs the map for no exhaust, since I think you may lose some boost with the exhaust and you may want to raise boost back up a few psi.

Thoughts?

Your basically on the same thought train that I am. I can try it, the muffler delete or something of that nature will only cost me about $50
