Tuners, what's the stock rev limiter???

Tuners, what's the stock rev limiter???
Did a search and couldn't find anything consistent. Looks like folks are bumping 8k and some are bumping 7400 to 7500.
I've already had mine over 7500. What's up with this???? Is the tach that far off or is something else going on?
Assuming the tach is correct...is it OK to be taking it over 7500 on a totally stock car?
