How long is a turbo good for if it has never been used?
Let say an FP Green.

 

thats a pretty far out question it all depends on the USER. could last 20k could last 70k could last 5k. depends how your pushing it mods on car how long you stay in boost etc. no real set time

 

It seems like you may have his read the OPs post. I think that he is asking if turbos have a shelf life? Correct me if I am wrong.

 

Call FP and ask them? Just how long has it been sitting there anyway ? A lot of it depends on how it was stored and for how long, I guess.

I once removed the original Holsett HY-35 turbo on my Dodge Ram and tossed it in a corner of the garage for about 4 years while I went through a series of upgrade turbos. When I finally sold the truck I just swapped the original turbo back on and ready to go. Two years later the car and turbo are still running with the new owner.
