9 turbo or e85

I have about 600 bucks to spend. I am debating upgrading to a 9 turbo or going e85. I have plenty of stations around with it. Just looking for a second opinion.
thanks

e85 gets less mpg but is worth the gains in performance. Besides gas prices will eventually come back up.

E85 I run it in my eclipse gsx and I have 321hp 347tq with a evo316g and walbro255 and 680cc injectors, and 3" exhaust and arp studs that's about all i have done with a little more I would be around 400hp. My cousin also runs it in his car he has 414hp 459tq he has about the same setup plus cams and a fmic. With a good tune you will really love E85

I vote for the IX turbo. The E85 tune you can get over and over. The IX turbo you should only need to buy once...unless for some reason your turbo goes bad. But I guess we should ask what are your plans for your car? Do you need quick instant power? Or do you want a good platform to build upon? The suggested option is to get both. Depending on parts and tuner, you might be able to get both for 600. But of course if you go with the E85 tune, you will need injectors and a close eye on your a/f ratio.

if you have no plans on getting a bigger turbo than the IX turbo then get that but if not then might as well get the e85 then save up and get a bbk, red, tomei.

Assuming that you do not want to go above your stated $600 mark, I would go with the E85. Why? For the stock VIII turbo, you will need to get you some 880cc injectors, a 255lph fuel pump (if you don't already have one), a MBC (if you don't already have one), and a street tune (cheaper than a dyno). I've followed E85 for awhile to include quite a few nicer set ups and you would more than likely add roughly 40-60whp/40-60wtq assuming that you go to a reputable tuner. With the stock IX turbo (usually sold around $400-550), you would add roughly 30-35whp/30-35wtq and you'd still need to get it tuned.
