Clutches

Hello i am new to the evo world and am a proud owner of an 03' Evo VIII 29xxx white with black rims, BOV cat back. LOVE the car i had an 05 G35 coupe before this and this is much more of a car than the G not even compairable!!! However i did a launch with it the other day and the clutch sliped enough that i could smell it. The last time this happened to me i was 15 and had a 67 chevy c-10 with a built small block and that one time was enough to wreck the clutch for good. So now the question is "do i need a new one" the other question is which clutch to go with i saw some threads about CCI on here sounds like a good deal but i wanna here some seasoned evo lovers opinions. Future mods would include a high flow cat, 3 in down pipe, boost controller, intake, maybe intercooler. but i plan on just doing things to let the girl breath better and add some hp and tq. Thnks for your time all opinions would be helpful.

well if you don't plan on going all out then I have heard good things about the fidanza 3.2/4.3. A lot of people will say Exedy twin but I think it will be a waste if your not creating tremendous amounts of power or drag racing.

I doubt that your clutch is shot. I have also heard good things about the Fidanza 3.2/4.3. Another good choice is the ACT HDSS.

not many people have this but i got a clutchmasters stage 3 with a fidanza lightweight flywheel. great for dd and have all the basic power mods that your planning on doing.
