Who knows the durometer for most motor mounts?

As of now I have the blox motor and hate it. I don't know what the durometer is on that mount but it feels extremely stiff. I am not one to normally be bothered by vibration or noises but I want a smoother ride. I study a lot during classes in my car and trying to concentrate when your dash wants to rattle off is impossible. If anyone could tell me what durometer on most of our common mounts than that would help me decide on which mount to replace mine with. Thanks guys

this is what i could find regarding the front motor mount
blox is 90
powerflex is 80
agency power is 88
ams is 90
awd motorsports is 80

i currently have the powerflex front motor mount insert. at idle my steering wheel does vibrate but it is by no means obnoxious. i just recently ordered the new awd motorsports pass motormount, because it has the same durometer as my powerflex front mm and is already pressed into a mount. here is a link to their front and passanger mm https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...t-hangers.html

Yea I just looked up the blox and saw 90A. Thanks for the numbers. I am probably gonna do the powerflex as I will never put a dime into AWD.

Also I looked at AMS bushings and all but the motor mount are 70A. 70A would be nice for my car.

RRE sells Avid front mounts in 65, 75, or 90 durometer.

About half way down the page:

I personally run the Blox mount and love it though; sucks you don't like it

considering the OP has drag times in his sig it must be fairly imprtant.

So id say Mikes doin prett darn good. Please remind me, who else has a street car in the 8s? Oh wait, Buschur doesnt even have that yet. So Mike must be doing something right.

I'm curious why you don't like the blox mount. I'm guessing you study in your car with it on and the vibration bothers you? Doesn't the performance gains/better feel of it out weigh that? I'm looking for a better explanation on whats wrong with it. Let me know i'm interested in buying one so i'm curious.

Just for reference what is the durometer rating for the stock front bushing?

There are a few older threads covering the vibration issues.. One thing for sure is that you cant run just the frt bushing and expect reduced vibration. By itself that bushing will transmit all the vibration from the rest of the mounts as they are flexing while this single busing in front is stiff and absorbing no vibration. Add the motor and trans mounts on each side and the vibration is reduced. I used the aganecy bushing ( hate the color) this cut vibration in half over the single front bushing. And your not just doing the bushings to improve shifter feel, by replacing the at least 3 of the 4 in the engine compartment you are cutting motor flex down, improving traction and reducing flex in the mounts to take stress off the trive train by keeping the wheels planted not bounding up and down when they break traction. So complete the project and do the other motor mounts.. the one in back toward the fire I hear is a real pain--thats the one I left alone, I would recommend the same. The mounts will need a little run in time once they have been installed-- in other word vibration continued to get less as the mounts settled in.. Just my .2.

According to TTP looks like the stock rubber is 45-50 so maybe the 90 is a little too much for those extra sensitive to additional vibs. Maybe the avid at 65 might work better.
