how many people have blown their 6 speed? Does putting a trans cooler help the 6 speed at all? I'm putting a built 2.3 with a hta 35r the 86 one , im hoping my trans can hold the power as long as i dont do constant pulls.

Yes a tranny cooler would help, cooling plus more fluid capacity, however nobody makes a kit yet!

OMG that's sick news! He's going to have an ***-load of 6 speeds heading his way as soon as this gear set is released.

It is an addition to the 6 speed rebuild. I should have my transmission shipped out in the next two weeks. This is definitely going to hurt my wallet but I am sure the final result will get me loving my evo again.

Also I have been looking over this thread comparing gears to mph. If he is correct and it is like having a IX 5 speed with 4.11 final drive then I don't think you can ask for a better all around transmission. 117 mph in 4th on a 6 speed should be a dream. Here is one of the charts a member made first stock gearing and then with the 4.11 final drive on all models. These are with stock 7k redline shifts and what rpm you reach in the next gear.

GREAT, please more info on the build 6 speed, when well they release the gearset, and is there anyway that I can contact Jon@TRE, I've been e-mailing him for a while now, only got one replay.

I got a 6 speed with 3rd and 4th gone, well ship it to TRE and get it rebuild with a 4.11 FD, GOD I CAN'T WAIT.

It is just really going to hurt to adding another $1500 on top of a rebuild and twin clutch plus install.
I know the feeling. I ordered my rebuild parts last week and come to find out my 1st and 3rd gears are screwed up. So i ended up going change everything and it cost me $1485.68 from mitsubishi. TRE did not have the parts on hand.
