Drop in or Cone Filter?

Has anyone come to a conclusion if a Cone K & N Filter is better then a K & N drop in for our cars? If a drop in is used then the car will still suck in cold air from outside but if you put a cone on then it sucks under the hood hot air. What do you guys think would be better? How is the flow of a K & N drop in filter?

Thanks

Use the search function. This has been covered many times, and you should be able to find yourself a lot of threads to read by searching.
