no O2 sensor! Can i still clear my CEL?

I have to get my emissions and I am running catless on my exhaust. I got my car tuned at Forged Performance and asked them to do the CEL fix with the fouler but they said my O2 sensor is not there! Is there any other alternative to clear the code without a O2 sensor? Maybe through ecuflash or some other program? Please help!

You can delete the rear O2 sensor from the ECU but, Im not sure you will still pass the emissions testing.

yea like they said you can delete it from ecu but dont think you will pass you need to pick up a rear o2 from somebody on here i have one but you would need to respice the wires. I pick up a used o2 from somebody for 90 then did the nonfouler fix bam no cel for p0136 anymore

hmmm ic. Yeah my friend who owns an emission shop said as long as the ecu throws no CEL i can pass even without a O2 sensor. So i guess I need to tell Forged performance to clear it through the ecu?

Even though there is no CEL you usually need a certain amount of readiness indicators to pass inspection. At least in NY you do.

Just because there is no CEL light doesnt mean that it will pass emissions. The sensor needs to be 'ready' in order to pass as well. That's why if you disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reset the ecu, you wont pass emission then. Every sensor needs to be ready, so if you're missing the rear o2 you wont pass. There might be a way to set resistors up in the system to simulate a ready o2, but I dont think that's worth it. Buy another o2.

The cat-delete pipe I have for sale doesn't throw a code You just have to remove the sensor from the exhaust stream

PM me if interested

well if you have the rear o2 delet cheat in you wont pass inspection well thats the way it is in MA, because if you hook you car up to the diegnostics machine your ecu with not throw a readyness code which ends up in a fail. i just went through all that crap the pasy couple of weeks

If you have an ordinary test pipe, all you need to do is buy two spark plug anti foulers, drill one out so your o2 can fit through it then screw the two anti foulers together together, the o2 in the back and screw it all into your exhaust. Costs $8 and it fixes your problem
