No more CEL's with BR exhausts...
No more CEL's with BR exhausts...
We have the problem fixed. Finally!!
We are not going to offer an 02 simulator for the car. We had no luck in making them work. Anyone that bought one and it doesn't work can return it for a full refund.
We do however have the problem fixed. We are now proudly offering the systems and they have NO CEL problems.
The new systems will cost the same money as the old. For those of you that want to send in your catback pipe I can make the changes to the pipe for $40. I am sure that most of you don't want to do that. I am also offering an updated "mid pipe" for $70 with the change in it.
As always, the best way around getting a check engine light is to just run the high flow 3" cat, this is emmision legal and eliminates the problems.
Thanks alot, hope this helps.

Slightly on topic, yet off!
A question about your 3' Downpipe for the Evo...
I noticed it doesn't have a "flex" section. Is this something this car should have? What does a "flex" section provide (I assumed noise dampening from the engine)?

Its still got to be partially in the exhaust stream otherwise it would still trigger a CEL due to the how the computer measures the difference in voltage between the two O2 sensors.. and if one sensor is disconnected or "Flatlined" at the same voltage, it will trigger a CEL For a malfunctioning sensor.. My best guess (because I did this on my neon) is that the bung is welded in at an angle away from the front of the car, and possibly a small shroud around the forward area of the sensor so it doesnt get exhaust directly onto the sensor, but it only gets wafts of it thereby showing a different value.
that is how he BR exhaust is, the o2 bung is actually welded onto the outside of the exhaust pipe and there is a small hole drilled into it so that it only reads some of the exhaust gasses going by.
The mid pipe is the offroad pipe. New name, same part. Don't ask what the name change was for
We have put about 500 miles on our EVO now and have no CEL light. The parts we had machined to do this is the largest reason behind the cost of fixing or supplying the new pieces to the guys that have already bought our systems.
There will be no difference in the sound of the exhaust with this compared to the offroad pipe.

David I just recieved my Trubo back exhaust for my evo and I put it on Fridaynight, within a few miles I am getting a cell. I was told on the phone that I shouldn't have a cell light so what can I do to get rid of this?
Give the shop a call and let's verify you got one of the new systems, we just started doing this.
