What type of Octane you feed your Evo

Here in MA we have the luxury of 93 octane available to us... but is it really worth it? Ever since owning my first car, which happen to be a '95 Integra GS-R I put 93 octane in my car religiously. I'd like to know what you guys put in your tank regularly and not only when your pockets are up to it...

BTW... what does the manual for '03 Evo VIII recommend if anyone knows. Thanks.

Hey if your Evo is totally stock, including the factory tune and the factory boost setting then you should be fine running 91 octane gasoline.

93 only nothing less but it is available everywhere where I live. I say if you have it use it but if you have it and don't because you need to save the extra 10 cents a gallon then you shouldn't be driving an EVO. Just my 2 cents.

I totally agree. I know a lot of folks feel that 93 is not entirely worth it. If majority of EVO owners were buying them for gas mileage and cost of gas in mind then none of us would probably own one and that's why we drive an EVO not a Camry right fellas

Wow, I thought we had it bad..

I use BP 98 Ultimate... everyone with an evo in Oz uses 98 of one brand or another.. there are a few places that do 100 octane too but not in Western Australia..

I put 89 octane, not because I want to but because there is nothing better but don't worry, Mellon tuned my car for 89 and it runs great and most importantly, knock free!!!
If I could get a hold of 95 or even 100 octane, that is what I would use regardlees of cost, my evo deserves the best of the best
