Exhaust Wrap on a o2 Dump

I should be getting an EPM o2 dump soon an wondering if I should wrap the "dump" part. I see that its a tight fit over there and I really would hate to get clinging from that area.

Thanks

i dont really see a reason to wrap it... mine is unwrapped... i guess if you wanted to put a layer on there for good measures it wouldnt hurt... you could also get high temp silicone spray to do the same thing if youre concerned about the housing temps

I'm putting wrap on mine, figure I have it and it couldn't hurt at all. Plus it will cover up the ****ty welds.

I wrapped mine and also did bend on dump tube near radiator.
If not wrapped, silicone coupler that connects J-pipe with licp can be damaged ( on my setup ).

Not too worried about the Temp, but the wraping would be more for an extra protection from hitting other parts, like the LICP.

So thats for the advice everyone, I will wrap it. Should I also do the downpipe will I'm at it? Its a DD in Chicago weather, not sure if wrapping metal that will be exposed to snow/rain/etc was a good idea, so I never done it before.

Wrapped mine and my downpipe. I can even touch it after boosting. It really helps the temp in the engine bay.

I have the JMF dump. I wrapped the section of the tube that goes past the radiator end tank and LICP. There is only a 1/4" of clearance between the dump tube and radiator, but I figured, with some engine movement, it may touch the radiator, so it'd be a good cushion, and a good heat barrier.

Just go ahead and wrap it if you have some wrap laying around. It won't hurt anything, that's for sure.

Wrap it if you can, just don't get it wet.

Don't be a fool, always wrap your tool.

So how much of a wrap will i need to do the o2 dump and part of the DP?

DEI has 2x50 and 2x15, big price difference between the two. Would 15 feet be enough?

2" x 50'

Just wrapped the DP and dump this weekend. I had little left over. Make sure you soak it in water before you wrap anything.
