Any one have issues with water damage to their BOV?

Back a few months ago, I noticed the car started acting strange when shifting gears... no blow off. It was kinda strange, so I brought it in to the shop and come to find out the damn thing had seized up because water had gotten into it. I think it is starting to happen again, now I have tried to stop taking it through the touchless car washes and just washing it by hand (which is a hard thing to do in the winter). I was just wondering if anyone has come into the same problem. If they did possibly could they tell me what they did.

I have a Turbosmart EVO BOV, it's the Evo specific one with the red top.

I also would rather not want to buy the ugly vent cover if possible, the only other thing i was going to try to do was see if i could get this new shop put a different bov on and change where it is located.

I have a little bit of oxidation on the inside of my BOV from water. Nothing that affected the performance of it though. Are you really from Pasadena? I can lend you a spare BOV til you get a replacement.

I used to live there until i moved out of my parents house and bought a condo in GB. I guess i should probably update my sig. Which BOV do you use? Where did you get your work done? Mine was done at Extreme, you know before they burnt down and all that. So I have been taking it to Import Sports for little things. I just want to clear this issue up, it seems ok it's just not poofing like it used to... just sounds like a turkey under the hood.

I'm using a Synapse Synchronic bov now. My Greddy still works fine though. I've never needed to take my car to a shop yet. I do most of my own work. I have friends that help with harder stuff. I used to go to GBHS. Where about are you?
