Cost of Tcase/Tranny

Ok I think I still have a lot of life on my tcase and tranny but after reading these boards I'm a little worried about mine. I don't want it to go ka-put and be stuck with a huge bill that I'm unprepared for, so I figured I'd save now and store it in a "just in case" fund. How much does it cost to replace these? I can do basic stuff like the driveline fluids and struts but taking out the transmission is a little of my league so I'd have to take it in somewhere. It would be nice to get an upgraded shep one but I don't think I have the time/funds to get a rental for 1-2 weeks for a turnaround. Rentals are insane here with something like a 25% tax. I still have a year left on warranty and I'm pretty sure it will last at least that long but is the dealer a complete screw in this case? How much did you guys pay to take it into a shop and did you get a rebuild ir did you have them ship it to Shep and wait for the return?

If stock - go to dealer. Dealer can give a loaner car.
