Using Stealth FX BOV

Just bought my evo about two months ago and I am constantly on here reading about the car... I had no Idea that a bov could kill the evo? If I turn mine up i noticed the car wants to stall when coming to a stop, also another problem I am seeing is that at low rpm pulls I am showing knock usually only one count, but the light still flashes and kind of bothers me. Just wondering why this is and where i should be running that bov as far as the setting?

mods:
Megan turbo outlet
HBC mbc
JGT Stainless 3" Exhaust
Greddy Timing belt
Hks circle the earth
K&N Drop in
Hotchkis suspension
All DEFI gauges
Walbro 255

one count is nothing to get worried about, does that bov recirculate? sometimes that can be the problem although i have a tial on stock maf and runs like a champ with no issues.

It does recirculate, but I was wondering how far I could turn it down, If anyone else was using this same one.
