Heater Core Leak..?

I've searched the forums on heater core problems and nobody had the exact symtoms as me. All of a sudden i can smell engine coolant and see a fine mist come thru my vents when I drive in general. If I have the heat on at all or my car fogs up like crazy. After driving I get a small pool of coolant under my car. I know i have a leak i'm hoping its not the heater core and jst a cracked hose associated with it. I want a quick fix for now. How do you go about bypassing your heater core? Its summer here in MI and I dont need heat for a minute any help would be great.

Thx
Fred

Yep that is the heater core - smelling radiator coolant in the car.

No quick fix - must replace.

Check miEvo.net (local club) - MitsuJoe or PPI or Speed Industries might be able to help change it out.

I actually jst fixed it. Its summer here in MI... so I jst bypassed the heater core with a coolant flush kit valve. No leaks no coolant smell but no heat. Its a temporary fix till I feel like ripping out my dash to get to the core. I can make a write up on a how to if anybody else has this similiar problem.
