Fuel and Spark Problems

Working on a 03 Evo 8. The car does not run. We have went through and checked numerious amounts of wires for corosion...We have cut and sodered new wire for pretty much the whole fuse box due to coroded wires. The car is sending fuel to the rail and the rail has pressure but the fuel is not getting into the motor. We pulled the rail off with all the injectors on it and there is no fuel coming out but when we take the injectors off the fuel goes flying. What are the chances all 4 injectors are clogged? We also pulled the spark plugs and there is no fuel on them. The spark plugs are not sparking. The car is mainly stock with an aftermarket bov, downpipe, test pipe, exhaust, and walbro fuel pump. Anyone have any idea why both the fuel and plugs are not firing?

Fuel and Spark Problems

I feel you pain on this one!
Here's what I would do:
Since both spark and fuel are controlled by the ECU, check to see if the ECU is getting any power, if so check to see if (+)power is available at the injectors harness and the (-)ground pulses from the computer when cranking. As for the spark problem, we'll go into that later.

Good Luck Mertins03!

I agree..

Also if you have an extra ecu around, try swapping that. For spark I would check to make sure you have power at the cam and crank sensors.

Good luck..

cam sensor. or a crank angle sensor.

I would try cleaning the injectors. They can be clogged. Just take them out and put an air gun to them. Its worth a shot.

20gmr is correct... its most likely the cam or crank sensor that is failing which will cause no fuel or spark....
