HELP please.. car wount start

Hey guys I have had this porblem a few times now.. I appoligize but this explanation could be kinda long... I have a evo IX. This problem has occured three times now. A couple of months ago my car would not start. I would turn the key and it would crank but not turn over. Then I noticed that when I pulled the key out completly my guage cluster lights would stay on. All the lights would stay lite such as the ses light and battery light and every lite in the cluster along with the speedo and rpm. I had it towed to a mitsubishi dealership and they are stand up guys there and did not void my warranty for having a full exhaust (catless), a intake, licp, and a ams tune. The first time my car went in changed a relay (the ac blower relay, not sure how that fixed it) and told me to pick it up cause it was working fine. I drove my car no problem for a month or so and it happened again. Same thing cluster lights stay on with key out and car will not start. This time they change all my fuse boxes and wiring to them and check all wires in the car for any shorts. They say they fix it agian and I get the car back and it works great. Now today this same problem happens agian. I have no idea what it could be anymore. I have checked all fuses and all relays. They all came out fine and nothing wrong that i could notice. I will say thought that im to familiar with electrical. If u guys have any suggestions or things I could maybe look at that would be greatly appreciated... Thanks guys

it might be that electrial gremlin thing that people talk about when water leaks in through the rubber groument in the wheel well and leaks wate onto the wiring harness by your left foot... check that out for any corrosion

It seems like the problem of your key... the code doesn't match and the safety feature of your car prevent you from starting it. Do you have the green key light flashing on the dashboard when you can't start your car?

to be honest I am not a hundred percent sure but i want to say that is was flashing. and now the dealership wants to know if there has been any water damage done to the car. Since i have owened the car(about six months now there hasnt), One thing i was thinking if it could posibly be something with the ecu. Like is said though im not really to electonicly inclined about this type of stuff.

its an easy check to figure out if it either of the two thins mentioned in this whole post... turn the key see if the light is blinking, and then onen the kick panel and check for any corrosion of the wiring harness easy stuff to check

my car was just towed 15 min ago so i dont have it to check those things. I just was looking for maybe some suggestions to tell mitsu or check my self when i get it back. and for the electrical gremlins thing all of that electrical was replaced last time the car was "fixed"

Ok i will have to check on that and maybe drive down there and talk to them to see if it could be the problem. This problem just seem really wierd to me cause it seems to happen in cycles. It has happened in almost the same amount of time. A month or so inbetween each time
