Has Anyone Ever Seen Anything Like This?

I dont know if anyone has ever seen, heard or experienced this so let me know. Earlier this week my battery light came on. I figured it was the alternator because this the light came on before and thats what it was. I put a volt meter on the battery whil it was running, no charge from alternator. So, last night I went to take the alternator off (second time). The first time I was able to fit it through the top after unbolting it. This time it was more difficult due to the after market intake manifold. The manifold had to come out which gave me easy access. I disconected the wires and noticed the alternator felt loose. I then took off the bolts that hold it on, which were all tight. When I pulled it out I noticed the housing was not together. Looked to see why and the bolts had all came out, not just one, all of them. Idk why or what caused this. I guess just vibration. I just dont think that should happen. Im going to call mitsu today and see if they will do anything but I doubt it. Has anyone had this happen or know someone that has?

Here are some pics:

The only thing thats holding it together is the pully, the housing can be rotated freely.

The part has a 12k mi warranty I think. That is, if it's not the factory one and you bought it.

Looks as though when it was assembled they may have been overtorqued and finally broke from the vibrations.
