So we got the trans apart and found this





I was just going to replace the 3rd syncro and inputshaft bearing but found this.
What would cause this? The trans had 39k on it and car is bone stock.
Needless to say I am in need of this gear and slider so if anyone has a good used one I need one asap since my car is hogging up the hoist

I can order that syncro from the dealer, Can anyone confirm the oem part# number for 3rd syncro MD770348?

 

The odd thing is that reverse did not grind or give me any trouble at all.
So I need to hunt down a reverse gear and slider w/syncro, Any suggestions on where to look?

 

you can go new or hit up TRE, Dogbox or Shep to see what they have laying around

 

At this point I am thinking of a new trans?
